Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo Announces Increase in Adult Admission

Effective beginning Friday, August 12, 2022, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo will be increasing its adult admission cost by $3. The new admission fees will be $22.95 for adults and $19.95 for seniors and active military personnel.

“This was a difficult decision to make, but due to the increasing costs of operating the zoo, feeding the animals, and maintaining the facilities, it was necessary,” said Joel Hamilton, Executive Director, Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

Children’s admission fees will remain at $14.95 (ages 3-12), and children (ages 2 and under) free. The zoo will continue to offer Baldwin County residents 10% off the admission rate.

“As a non-profit organization, continued support of your zoo is critical,” said Hamilton.  “Please visit the zoo and support our animal wellness, conservation, and education programs that are vital to understanding the world around us.”

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is open daily 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Zoo memberships are available, and a list of upcoming zoo fundraising events and activities can be found online at www.alabamagulfcoastzoo.org.
