Coola Springs Walkabout

Welcome to the Coola Springs Walkabout, where you can get up close with one of Australia’s most iconic animals, the red kangaroo. The red kangaroos are the largest of all the kangaroos, but the ones that you will meet are joeys (youngsters). Australia has many unusual and unique animals.  As an island, Australia also has its own unique environmental challenges.  Come learn more about kangaroos and Australia while at the Coola Springs Walkabout!

Tickets

Each adventure ticket is $24.95 per person, plus a regular paid zoo admission. Tickets can be purchased in the park on the day of your visit. The minimum age is 3 years old. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by a paying adult. No reservations are made. Adventures are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

What to Know

Guests are taken in throughout the day at 15-minute intervals. Groups of up to 6 guests are taken into the adventure at one time. This adventure is in a secure, keeper-supervised environment and is appropriate for ages 3 and up. However, we reserve the right to make last-minute decisions regarding the group size or availability. Masks are optional. The adventure area is handicap accessible. Services animals are not allowed in the exhibit.

The kangaroo exhibit is in an open-air setting. If the weather conditions are questionable, please call ahead to check if we are still selling tickets. Adventures are not available if there is lightning in the area or if it is storming.
