Lights for Lions

Help us help lions by recycling your old lights!

Do you have old Christmas lights that you need to throw away? Do you love lions?

Would you like to get rid of your old Christmas lights and help save lions in the wild at the same time?

Bring them to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and we will recycle them for you! This ensures that the strings of lights don't end up in landfills. The money raised will benefit the Ruaha Carnivore Project that protects lions, leopards, hyenas, and other small carnivores in Africa. We will have marked containers in our gift shop from Dec 26-Jan 25 for you to deposit the light strings.
