Giraffe populations have declined by nearly 30% over the last three decades? World Giraffe Day, celebrated each year on June 21, the longest day of the year, is dedicated to raising awareness about giraffe and the conservation efforts needed to protect them.
A portion of the day’s proceeds will benefit the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, the only international organization dedicated solely to the conservation and management of giraffes in the wild.
