Celebrate At The Zoo

If you’re looking for a uniquely charming place to celebrate a special occasion or to simply gather together a group of friends, family or employees to have a good time, look no further.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is currently available for:

Please note: As of September 15, 2019, the zoo will no longer be available for parties until it has relocated to its new home and is reopened to the public. At such time, we will post updated information about our exciting, new party venues. So be sure to check out our calendar of events for that announcement!

How It Works

First, tell us your expected party guest size, the occasion of your celebration, and most importantly, the date you’d like to reserve. We ask for at least 7 days advance notice to secure your party space on the zoo grounds.

Where To Party: We offer two different sites for your party. The largest and most accessible is the picnic area with 10-12 tables next to our snack food bar and beverage vending machines (also across from our main show stage). The other spot is more intimate and and features a large deck area near our Cats of the World exhibit.

Costs: A minimum of 15 paying guests (excludes zoo members and children under age 2) is required for a private party reservation with a base price of $5.00 per person. There may be additional costs depending on the logistics and zoo staff required to facilitate your party.  Souvenir cups of zoo puffs to feed select animals are available to purchase at half price for $1.00 per cup. What You Provide: Everything you’ll need for your pop-up party, including food and beverages, all party supplies, all seating and tables other than our existing picnic tables, decorations, and any other items that add to your zoo party f-u-n. 

What Is Not Allowed: Drinking straws, balloons, alcohol, firearms, domestic pets, open flames (no gas, wood or charcoal BBQ grilling or fire pits), no outside music (except for live performance).

What We Provide: We will schedule an educational animal show on our main stage during your visit for your party guests to attend (also open to the public); our friendly, eager staff will be on-hand to help make sure your party is a roaring success, and we guarantee you’ll go home with the wildest party photos ever!
