As a non-profit organization, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo relies on the generous support of donations to support its mission to create compelling experiences that connect people and community with wildlife, and inspire personal responsibility for conservation of the natural world.

Provide Daily Animal Care – fresh diets, healthcare (vet visits, medications), clean habitats
Provide Enrichment – Enrichment = Happiness. Toys, puzzle feeders, boomer balls keep animals curious, active, and mentally engaged
Provide Habitat Upgrades – climbing structures, pools, perching, ropes, and regular maintenance are critical to healthy habitats
Provide Community Education – By sharing the importance of the animals at the zoo, the community learns about conservation and how to protect our environment

When we close our gates at the end of each day, we are still hard at work caring for animals, maintaining the facility, preparing and planning what comes next in the life of a non-profit zoo that operates 365 days a year, come rain or shine, no matter what the circumstances.
